I don't know whether i'll participate. The tournament is in the middle of the exams, and I'm not the only player that has that issue. :/

| Please excuse my ignorance, but what happened to this event? It seems to me like it has stagnated quite a bit lately. The tournament thread on RuneScape's official forums (RSOF) hasn't been updated in over a week and I haven't seen a single tournament video uploaded to YouTube in the past two weeks or so. Ironically enough this "June 2012 tournament" most likely won't finish before mid-July (at least not with it's current pace).
I realize that Auos Pro is a busy YouTuber, but I don't really understand why he would've taken the responsibility of holding such a big event without having the sufficient time needed to run it properly. I've noticed that there's been a handful of other players that have tried to help him out though (kudos to these guys), but to be honest there's not much help in that when the tournament is so poorly organized to begin with. It was more than less a sinking ship from the start. Anyhow, since Auos Pro himself isn't registered to these forums and therefore have no possibility to defend these accusations against his tournament I won't go into further detail.
However, I really hope the next tournament-organizer chooses to fix the current tournament's biggest flaw, by adding in a group stage to the tournament. This makes the tournament a lot more balanced. It would need 16, 20 or 24 to players to work properly, and a good example of this system would be the EURO12 soccer championship match-setup. Last but not least I would like to suggest to only allow people who actually know that they have the time and opportunity to play their matches to enter, as the number of forfeits in this tournament has been ridiculously high.
Remember, quality is more important than quantity.

Yes, Auos Pro was a bit late in updating the games and participants continously after 1st of June. I'm glad he's holding it, though! I think the lesson learned from this event is primarily to give the tournament more time for each round, and have people match up against whoever's online.

| Is there anyone who can provide this thread with the scores from the following Round 3 matches?:
Shadix vs HulahoOps Mysterieman2 vs O R N G 3 9H3 Vs Hoppeeee Timome Vs Peterajaja
By scores I mean seperate altar scores as well, not just the total amount of altars won. I know that iMasterMike uploaded a video of the match between Timo and Peter, but since I'm not I'm not able to watch it on my phone I can't find the scores. Did Peter forfeit since there's only one part (CS) uploaded?
I'll delete this post as soon as I get an answer.

- So what we are going to do, is each player above will do a 1v0 match, playing one game on each colour. Then, we will add up each of the points from each altar, to make a grand total over the 2 games. The player who receives the most points is in the final, as is the player who receives the 2nd most amount. The players who receive the 3rd and 4th highest will play in the 3rd place play off. The player who comes 5th, is eliminated.

- It has been made known to me that Auos Pro has left Runescape. As such, there is no one to organize the final round of the tournament. With no one to organize the final round, Draqonette and Shadix have come to me and suggested that I take charge, and organize the final round of the tournament! I am going to keep it very simple, so that each remaining contestant will need to play only 12 altars, rather than 24 or 36. I can see how that could become very tiresome! The tournament has gone on too long already. Here is how it will work: Each contestant will play 6 altars on green and 6 altars on yellow for a total of 12 altars. Highest overall score wins!
_______________________________________________________________ Good luck to Timo, Shadix, and Draqonette!! Stay confident; you will all do great!! I don't really know what is going on, but apparently Hoppeeee has changed the tournament setup that Auos Pro made. There is now going to be a 3-way final (1vs0s) between Timome, Shadix & Draqonette. Apparently 9h3 is out of the tournament after losing to Draqonette. Can someone tell me what the point of a 3-way final is when there were only 4 players left? Wouldn't it have been a lot easier to just stick to Auos Pro's system with one match (12 altars) to decide who finishes 4th and 3rd, and one match to decide who finishes 2nd & 1st? If this system had been used Draqonette would have finished 3rd and not proceeded to the final. Seems like I'm not the only one who's confused, lol: - 9h3 wrote:
- Just wondering, if I had the 3rd highest orbs scored in the 4th round (1v0ing), why did I have to play a game against Draqonette to try to make it into the 3-way finals? I didn't know the final would be played like this, and now I'm confused why I played my game against Draqonette.
If anyone could please explain this to me, I'd appreciate it! PS: Sorry for tripleposting, I'll merge my last two posts into one post later O_o

| Alright, Zelda, I guess it's about time I post on this matter, anyhow.
Draqonette and Shadix came to me, saying that Auos Pro had quit gop, and that someone needed to organize a tournament for the finals. I did not realize that Auos had already organized such a tournament, and that is why I made a new one.
The reason I have not removed this post is because I have no idea what is going on myself. I don't understand how the previous round worked, or why 9h3 was eliminated either...and I've been trying to figure it out by asking the people left in the tournament about it.
I've talked with Draqonette, Shadix and 9h3 a bit, and they all seem to be as confused as I am. My inclination is to just go on with the tournament game that Auos made, but am unsure of whether I should be making any more changes to the tournament.
Everyone seems confused or angry at me for making any changes to the tournament game, but I did it only at the request of Draqonette and Shadix. If Auos already made a tournament game, then that is the one that should be played, all confusion left behind.
I thought I was doing a good deed; forgive me!

| I'm currently not where I'm usually at with a decent (don't miss out on the irony!) internet, so I can't do anything that's required of me in the game atm, but I am grumpfled both Draqonette and 9h3 said they played without making a post about it. What happened?
And why change Auos Pro's plan? If anything, a semi final and (2-way) final makes more sense than playing for highest score.
P.S.: Assuming 9h3 and Draqonette didn't secretly play a game, I would support a traditional 2 pairs of 1v1s and a final 1vs1!

| Timo, Shadix said the same thing! He said we could bring 9h3 back into the tournament, and just do 2 pairs of 1v1's.
I like that option, myself, as I feel 9h3 was given the short end of the broomstick in the last round.

I'm sorry if it seemed like a rant directed at you, that wasn't my intention. I was just wondering what was going on with the tournament, and how the last few rounds would be played. Anyhow, if Auos' plan is being changed, the best solution would be to play regular 1vs1 semi-finals (as Timo suggested above). Who a player meets in the semi-final should be based on the scores from round 4. The player who had the highest score in the previous round plays against the player who had the lowest score, and the players who scored the second and third most orbs versus each other. Following that logic the semi-finals would be: Timome(1) vs Draqonette(4) Shadix(2) vs 9h3(3) Sounds simple enough. The victorious players from these two semi-finals would obviously meet in the final, and the defeated players would meet in a third place playoff.

Release such a statement on the thread on the RS Forum? Traditional format 1vs1s is better for determining skill too (24 altars instead of 12).

| I think the solution most fair to all parties is if we count the 9h3 vs. Draqonette (Draqonette won 5-4, no sitters but Rainin Nite 1st round) game as a semi-final game and I play Shadix for the second spot in finals.
P.S.: I have to leave early tomorrow to a place with little internets. I'll be back in a week or two. Sorry. Is it alright if you wait for my return to do finals?

| I played Shadix for Semi Finals and won 6-5!I wrote this in a post in Auos Pro's thread on the RS Forums. - Quote :
We discussed this on the Gop Academy and, while granting ourselves permission to act the part of reason, ordained that the Finals be played as a regular 1vs1 and there be two games in the Semi Finals: Draqonette vs. 9h3 and Timo vs. Shadix.
Draqonette won against 9h3, yet noone has posted anything yet. I'll ask them again for scores.
Timo won against Shadix, 6-5.
Timo and Draqonette will play in the Finals, and Shadix and 9h3 will play for 3rd Place. Time and date for these events can be discussed, if anyone has any suggestions, I would be glad to not leave this task with me. = )

| Hello all, I saw that you guys did a 1v1 tournament for GOP and thought maybe we should do a 2v2 tournament. The tournament will most likely go faster than a 2v2 tournament I assume. Basically for anyone who doesn't know me, I am a No one to GOP, I just am interested in promoting an event and maybe working with people to creat another fun GOP tournament. I would like to take time in this post to further more bring up the simple idea of a 2v2 tournament. The 2v2 tournament can either be pick your partner or we can do random partners. Please put your imput on this below. Also the winner will recieve a sum of money and possibly an item that of course is f2p, that will be as a symbol/trophy of their victoy in the tournament. Also to join the tournament I was thinking we would have a buy in to increase the competitive edge people have and also to assure the winner will get a decent prize money winning. Currently there is 7m ready to give out to the winner with 2 donations already in. Donations will be much appreciated. I am not the best at organizing and certainly will need help from people if we do attempt this tournament. GOP is probably one of the most amazing mini games runescape has to offer and the tournament is for fun and a great chance for fellow goppers to come together and play for a chance of glory. I have spoke with Timome about this some, but barely. I also have started asking players if they would ever be interested in joining the 2v2 tournament and everyone was basically for it. - The big thing we need compared to last time is less forfiets, less game re- scheduals, and we need players that join the tournament 100% ready to be on at certain times so that we may get the tournament done rather than just sit and wait for people.
-I certainly along with Auros have a busy life at the moment outside of RS and need help like I said with the organization and the tournament. Feel free to leave imputs below about this whether that be hating on this idea or having postitive imput. This is only a idea that I thought of and I hope everyone can see the fun of this and not the negative side of this.
Sincerely, Gop Contest
